ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates directly with  Operations, HR, and Legal to accomplish implementation of ongoing pro-associate initiatives designed to address changing business initiatives. Partners with appropriate departments.
  • Collects, analyzes, interprets and prepares reports on labour union activity. This includes internal (Lowe’s) as well as external data. Provides recommendations for identified trends to make effective business decisions regarding labour and associate relations, including improving associate engagement.
  • Reviews and provides expertise on labour and associate relations training. Assists in delivering training and education to all levels of the organization.
  • In partnership with HR and people leaders, develops and implements individualized labour relations interventions (including occasional travel to facilities, etc.).
  • Advocate for fair and appropriate pro-associate workplace practices in accordance with the company’s mission, core leadership behaviors, and legal parameters.
  • Develop, use, and promote technological tools as resources for HR and people leaders.
  • Analyse labour union activity and act quickly to generate approaches and recommendations for HR and people leaders. Take appropriate partners (i.e., legal department) when formulating action plans in response to labour union activity. Provide long-term and broad views regarding labour implications of business decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with other members of the Associate Relations team. Provide guidance on select Associate Relations situations.
  • Takes on stretch assignments, more complex union labour activity situations, and projects that impact the entire enterprise.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a HR in Labour Laws of USA.
  • Advanced knowledge of labour and employee relations principles, including federal and state laws and policies, and union avoidance and counter-campaign strategies for multi-site/location organization.
  • Seasoned understanding of HR management programs and their interrelationships. Appropriately understands and applies policies, procedures, and practices on day-to-day issues
  • Master’s Degree, MBA, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations.
  • Good Experience on employment/labour law for USA.
  • Good Experience on employee’s visa formalities for USA with US attorney and consulate.
  •  Processing the MIS reports pertaining to daily attendance, leave records, permission slips and so on
  • Performing pre & post joining and exit formalities, reference & background checks, induction / orientation programs for smooth absorption of resource in the organization
  • Administering the coordination of the business in USA and India encompassing logistics arrangements, inventory build-up, administration, facilities, liaison, customs and staffing issues.
  • Comfortable to Work in USA Business Hours or flexible.
